Deutsche Windtechnik expands its service business in the Netherlands

– Contract signed for full maintenance of twenty-two Vestas V80 turbines

Bremen, Utrecht (renewablepress) - Deutsche Windtechnik is announcing a new contract in the Netherlands: Starting in April 2018, Deutsche Windtechnik B.V. will take over complete maintenance for the Koegorspolder C.V. wind farm. The wind farm, which is located in the south-west of the Netherlands, comprises twenty-two Vestas V80 turbines. The full maintenance contract will run for ten years.

"The new full maintenance contract for the Koegorspolder wind farm is a major step forward for Deutsche Windtechnik in the Netherlands, and it creates a sound basis for further sustainable growth of the Dutch business unit," said Geert Timmers, Managing Director of Deutsche Windtechnik B.V. Comprehensive maintenance for the turbines is provided by Dutch service teams, who are able to quickly obtain any spare parts they need at the newly established service station in the Netherlands. They also cooperate closely with the corresponding specialist colleagues in Germany in the areas of engineering, large component replacement and monitoring.

Transparency and low risk
Engel Koolhaas, Senior Director of infrastructure fund manager DIF, signed the contract on behalf of the owner: "As an independent fund manager, our company was interested in being able to plan maintenance for the wind farm with long term foresight, transparency and manage the risks. This is precisely what Deutsche Windtechnik was able to offer us with the full maintenance contract we negotiated."
