Higher Sales Prices: Nordex Achieves Order Intake of 1.0 GW in The First Quarter of 2023

Hamburg, Germany - The Nordex Group received orders for 177 wind turbines with a total capacity of 1,021 MW (1.021 GW) in the first quarter of 2023. This is a decrease compared to the first quarter of 2022, when orders for 229 wind turbines with a capacity of 1,165 MW (1.165 GW) were received.

At the same time, Nordex is able to raise its sales prices significantly. The average sales price in euros per megawatt of capacity (ASP) was EUR 0.90 million/MW, significantly higher than in the same quarter of the previous year (Q1/2022: EUR 0.78 million/MW).

Nordex received orders from eight countries in Q1 2023, all of which are located in Europe. The largest individual markets were Estonia, Germany and Lithuania.

"In the first quarter of the year, we received a solid order intake in our core European market, meeting good demand especially in the Baltic States. I am very pleased about this, as it shows that our turbines can contribute to clean energy generation in different geographical areas", says Nordex Chief Executive Officer (CEO) José Luis Blanco.

Nordex stock is currently up minimally in today's trading at EUR 11.71 (10:42 a.m., 04/13/2023, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
