- Five Enercon turbines with a total output of 11.75 MW were built in La Chapelle-Glain

La Chapelle-Glain (renewablepress) - The French wind farm La Chapelle-Glain, in the Pays de la Loire region in the Loire-Atlantique departement, was successfully commissioned in September. It was developed and built by Energiequelle subsidiary P&T Technologie. The wind farm comprises five E-92 type Enercon turbines with a total output of 11.75 MW and will supply approx. 7,600 households in the future.

P&T Technologie received the building permit for the project back in September 2016, but initially had to undergo an extensive legal action. Following a positive conclusion, construction began in September 2019. Despite the coronavirus crisis and a four-week construction stop, the last turbine was installed in June of this year. "In compliance with health regulations and the new safety requirements, the installation of the wind farm was completed on time in September," says Christophe Biger, Construction Manager at P&T Technologie.

The remuneration system is a fixed feed-in tariff over a period of 20 years. The park was acquired by Encavis Infrastructure Fund II, which is advised by Encavis Asset Management AG. Encavis Asset Management AG offers tailored renewable energy portfolios and investment solutions to institutional investors. The contract was signed last week.

With the commissioning of the La Chapelle-Glain wind farm, P&T Technologie's operational management portfolio grows to 23 wind farms with a total output of 230 MW. In total, the Energiequelle Group has built more than 750 turbines with an output of over 1,400 MW. In France alone, a further 73 MW is to be added in the coming years, including a PV project.
