Transaction: Capcora Advises German Family Office on Sale of 15 MW Wind Farm

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG has acquired the existing Niedergörsdorf wind farm with a total capacity of 15 megawatts (MW) with retroactive effect to 01/01/2021 to expand its renewable energy portfolio.

The wind farm, which consists of five Enercon E-115 wind turbines with a capacity of 3 MW each, is located in the municipality of Niedergörsdorf (Teltow-Fläming) in Brandenburg. The wind turbines were commissioned in December 2017.

The seller is a family office from southern Germany, which was advised by Capcora, a Frankfurt-based consulting firm specialized in real assets, as sell-side advisor. The parties have agreed not to disclose the identity of the seller or the purchase price. Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG prevailed as the preferred partner in a bidding process conducted by Capcora.

"We are pleased to have contributed to the Niedergörsdorf wind farm finding a new owner. This transaction clearly demonstrated that technical and economic optimizations of existing projects for sale can generate added value for both buyer and seller," said Henning Prigge, Director Energy & Infrastructure at Capcora.
