New Master Programme: Additional Training to Become a Specialist in Green Energy and Climate Finance

Berlin, Germany - The Berlin Professional School (BPS) at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin) is offering the new part-time, international continuing education programme "Master Business Management - Green Energy and Climate Finance" leading to a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from October 2021.

The application deadline for the upcoming winter semester for the programme offered in English is 31 August 2021.

The master’s degree is offered by the Berlin Professional School, HWR Berlin’s postgraduate institution, in collaboration with the Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG, a global expert in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency training. In addition to modern management systems and instruments, the study content includes the development and introduction of new business models as well as the marketing of products and services. The study focus "Green Energy and Climate Finance" is designed to provide expertise in the evaluation, financing and management of green energy projects such as international climate financing, modelling of green project financing, due diligence and business valuation as well as performance measurement in the green energy sector. As part of the programme, participants can earn the Green Energy Finance Specialist awarded by RENAC.

The study programme takes place in a blended learning format. Moderated online teaching and independent study are combined with each other. The independent study phases are supported by structured learning content and can be accessed flexibly and autonomously at any time. In this way, the timing and intensity of learning can be adapted to individual needs. Students then meet with teachers online to consolidate and expand their knowledge. The moderated online classes also offer the opportunity to exchange ideas with teaching staff and other degree participants. Students also have the option of participating in a one-week study trip to Berlin. Using a mix of methodical teaching approaches and real-world projects, participants develop the ability to apply their expertise creatively in order to find solutions to international problems.

The master’s degree is aimed at current and future experts and managers who have already completed a degree and have at least one year of work experience. Applicants without a first degree must have at least five years of relevant professional experience.
