Vestas has received a 30 MW order for Finland

This time for delivery of 10 units for the Tervola project. The new order has a total capacity of 30 MW and the turbines will be installed in the municipality of Tervola in the province of Lapland, Finland. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin in September 2012 and be completed by March 2013.

Finland has recently taken steps to enhance the development of renewable energy. A feed-in tariff system for renewable energy was launched earlier this year, and Finland has a renewable energy target to produce 6 TWh from wind power by 2020. This requires a capacity of approx 2,500 MW.
