Personnel: Jean-Marc Bazenet Expands VSB Management Team

Dresden, Germany - The VSB Group, one of the leading full-service providers in the field of renewable energies, is expanding its management. As of October 1, 2021, Jean-Marc Bazenet will be appointed as Managing Director for International Markets (Chief International Officer).

Jean-Marc Bazenet joins the Executive Committee with Frédéric Lanoë (Chief Executive Officer) and Marko Lieske (Chief Financial Officer). Bazenet brings 20 years of experience in the Franco-German energy sector and is expected to tap and expand new markets for wind energy and photovoltaics..

The 42-year-old manager comes from the French EDF Group, where he held various management positions. As Managing Director of EDF Deutschland GmbH, he successfully built up the company's business in Germany. Most recently, as CEO, he was responsible for the activities of the EDF Renewables Group in Germany. Bazenet is also a member of the board of the German Energy Storage Association and the Franco-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He studied at the economics and business administration university Paris Dauphine and at the University of Münster in Germany.

"Jean-Marc Bazenet perfectly complements the VSB Group’s senior management with his many years of industry experience, a strong sense of entrepreneurship, and extensive market development expertise,” said VSB Group CEO Lanoë.

"To tackle the climate crisis, we need to accelerate the energy transition and achieve CO2 neutrality as quickly as possible. The expansion of renewable energies plays a key role in this," said the designated CIO Bazenet. VSB is one of the pioneers in this area, he said.
