Successful Year 2021: Deutsche Windguard Optimizes Technical Management And Implements Important Innovations
Varel, Germany - Deutsche Windguard's Technical Management implemented a number of strategically important innovations last year.
Another focus in 2021 was on complete digitization. When inspecting wind turbines, the team now consistently uses the interactive smartphone app Wonder Onsite with an integrated interface to the Wonder control center software, which is used to monitor about 350 wind turbines with a total capacity of around 800 megawatts (MW) around the clock in currently more than 70 wind farms.
„Thanks to our highly professional control centre concept and the continuous improvement of our processes, we offer wind farm operators all-round worry-free technical management", says Andre Reichert, Head of Technical Management at Deutsche Windguard. This also includes safeguarding the turbines as part of the critical infrastructure in accordance with KRITIS requirements for the energy industry, defense against cybercrime and emergency management.
By winning three new contracts for a total of 23 wind turbines with a total capacity of 38.8 MW, Deutsche Windguard has also expanded its technical management geographically to the Netherlands. "We are particularly pleased that Connected Infrastructure Capital (CIC) commissioned us with the management of its eight state-of-the-art Vestas V126 turbines at Windturbine Testpark Wieringermeer. This flagship wind farm is an important addition to our portfolio," Reichert added.
Deutsche Windguard has been providing comprehensive services and consulting along the entire value chain of wind energy projects for more than 20 years. Focal points include the management of wind farms and inspections of wind turbines. As a member of the German Wind Energy Association (BWE) and its plant management committee, Deutsche Windguard also contributes to the development of standards on a regular basis and has intensified its knowledge transfer and training offers significantly.
