Portfolio Expansion: Q-Energy Buys 27.5 MW Wind Farm Poject In Southern Germany - Capcora Advises Seller

Frankfurt am Main, Berlin / Germany - Q-Energy, the investment and management platform focused in energy transition and sustainability projects, has prevailed in a competitive bidding process and successfully concluded the acquisition of a wind farm in Baden-Württemberg through its German subsidiary Q-Energy Deutschland GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Capcora, a German-based consulting firm, acted as M&A advisor to the seller in this transaction and identified Q-Energy as the buyer during the bidding process.

The wind farm, which is currently in the development phase and is planned with a capacity of 27.5 MW, will now be jointly advanced under the partnership. The commissioning of the first turbines is planned for the second half of 2025. Once completed, the wind turbines are expected to produce around 60 million kWh of electricity per year and thus arithmetically supply around 15,000 households with wind power.

"In addition to repowering projects, we are increasingly investing in new developments and with the acquisition of this wind farm we can also prove our competitiveness in this segment", says Niklas Hinz, Head of Investments Q-Energy Germany about the transaction. " Especially in times of rising interest rates and commodity prices as well as volatile energy markets, good access to institutional capital as well as strong partners for project development and implementation can bring great advantages", said Henning Prigge, Henning Prigge, the Capcora director responsible for the transaction.

The seller was advised on the legal side by KWR Kanzlei für Wirtschaftsrecht Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (Dr Mark-Oliver Otto), while Q-Energy was supported in the transaction by Reuther Rieche Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB (Janina Reuther, Jonathan Reuther, Thomas Rieche and Tim Stahlberg).
