Wind Market USA: Vestas Secures Further Large-Scale Wind Energy Projects in The USA

Portland, USA - The Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has been awarded further major contracts for wind farm projects in the USA with a total capacity of 253 MW.

The first order is for the supply and commissioning of 62 V120-2.2 MW wind turbines for an unspecified 136 MW repowering project. The order also includes a multi-year service agreement. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2025, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The second order comprises 26 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines for an undisclosed 117 MW project in the USA. The order includes the delivery and commissioning of the turbines as well as a multi-year service contract. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of 2025.

After the Vestas share price fell by 8.5 percent to EUR 20.56 last week, the RENIXX Group's share price recovered somewhat on the first two trading days of this week and rose by 2.4 percent to EUR 21.05 (23.07.2024, closing price, Stuttgart Stock Exchange). Compared to the price at the turn of the year, this represents a fall of 26.7 percent.
