Expansion: Capcora Opens New Office Location in Hamburg

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - Frankfurt-based Capcora GmbH has opened a new office in Hamburg. Andreas Bodensohn, who has been active as a Director at Capcora since May 2020 and is particularly dedicated to M&A and financing mandates in the German and Scandinavian regions, will head the new representative office of the consulting firm specialized on real assets.

"I am looking forward to representing Capcora in Hamburg. The German renewable energy market is currently in a state of upheaval. Especially in the photovoltaic segment, projects are currently already being developed on a merchant basis. In addition, Germany as an industrial location offers increasingly interesting purchase opportunities via corporate PPAs," says Andreas Bodensohn.

Capcora currently employs more than 20 people at its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and at its Münster location. With the office opening in the Hanseatic city, Capcora continues uing its growth and strengthes its market presence in northern Germany. "Even if the importance of office space in COVID times can be justifiably questioned, as a consulting firm the proximity to our clients in the north of Germany as well as Scandinavia is important to us," says Jochen Magerfleisch, Managing Partner at Capcora. Hamburg is a nucleus of the renewable energy sector in Germany, as it is not only home to project developers and manufacturers from the wind industry, but also to leading investors and industry teams from the banks, Magerfleisch added.

In addition to its foreign mandates, Capcora is currently actively advising on eight parallel transactions in Germany with a total volume of more than 500 megawatts (MW). These include M&A and financing transactions in the photovoltaic, onshore wind and green gas sectors. In 2020 alone, the consulting firm with a focus on renewable energies and real estate was able to successfully implement almost 30 mandates - including the largest mezzanine financing in Europe with the Hamburg-based Enerparc Group as initiator.
