15 MW Turbines For Oranje Wind: Vestas Receives Huge Firm Order For 795 MW Offshore Wind Power Capacity

Aarhus, Denmark - RWE and Total Energies had already made the investment decision for the construction of the 795 MW offshore wind farm Oranje Wind (formerly Hollandse Kust West VII) in the Netherlands.

Now Vestas has received the firm order for the delivery of 53 turbines with a capacity of 15 MW each (V236-15.0-MW).

Vestas will maintain the turbines under a comprehensive 5-year service contract, followed by a long-term operational support contract.

The project site is located approximately 53 km off the Dutch coast in the North Sea. Installation of the Vestas wind turbines is expected to start in 2027.
