Energy Transition in Poland: OX2 Wins Polish Tender For Solar, Wind And Battery Storage Projects

Stockholm, Sweden - The Polish market for clean energy technologies continues to grow in importance for OX2. In December 2024, the Swedish project developer was awarded the contract for a 165 MW solar park and a 40 MW wind park at the state auctions in Poland.

OX2 also secured the contract for two battery storage systems with a total capacity of 200 MW/400 MWh.

The 165 MW solar park is to be built in south-western Poland and is OX2's second solar project in Poland. The 40 MW wind farm project is located in south-eastern Poland and will be OX2's eighth wind farm in Poland. In 2024, OX2 handed over three completed wind farms in Poland to investors.

Construction work is currently underway in Poland on the OX2 wind farm Bejsce with a capacity of around 20 MW and the solar farm Rutki with 100 MW. In addition, OX2 manages wind farms with a total capacity of almost 280 MW. The OX2 development portfolio in Poland amounted to projects with a total capacity of around 3,100 MW (3.1 GW) at the end of the third quarter of 2024.
