Successful Cooperation With Citizens: PNE Group Expands Wind Farm in Schleswig-Holstein

Gnutz, Germany – The PNE Group has now successfully completed the expansion of its wind farm located in the municipality of Gnutz in Schleswig-Holstein. With the commissioning of four additional wind turbines in the Gnutz West Ib section, the installed wind power capacity at the site increases by another 22.4 MW.

The wind farm expansion includes two Vestas V162 turbines and two V150 turbines, each with a nominal output of 5.6 MW. Since May 2025, the new wind turbines have been feeding green electricity into the grid, making an important contribution to sustainable energy supply.

With the new turbines, the now fully developed Gnutz West wind farm reaches a total nominal capacity of 30.8 MW – a significant contribution to climate-friendly energy generation.

„The Gnutz West wind farm is one of numerous cooperation projects that we are realising in Schleswig-Holstein together with landowners and citizens,“’ says Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG. „It is an example of how local interests and the strategic orientation of an Independent Power Producer like PNE can be combined in a dialogue that goes far beyond the classic leasing of land.“
