100 MW for the Energy Transition: Qualitas Energy Acquires Three Greenfield Wind Projects in Lower Saxony

Berlin (Germany) – Qualitas Energy has acquired three wind projects in Lower Saxony with a planned total capacity of up to 100 MW.

The projects are in an advanced stage of development and include the construction of 14 modern wind turbines. Once operational, they are expected to supply clean electricity to more than 66,000 households.

With this acquisition, the internationally active company continues to expand its presence in Germany and consistently pursues its strategy of advancing both greenfield and repowering projects. As part of a significantly larger development portfolio in Germany, Qualitas Energy’s advanced-stage assets now exceed the 3 GW mark, spread across more than 100 individual projects.

“This acquisition underscores our commitment to accelerating the deployment of clean energy infrastructure in Germany. Lower Saxony, in particular, offers optimal conditions for wind energy, and we are proud to support the region’s decarbonisation efforts through high-quality project development and sustainable investments,” said Johannes Overbeck, Co-CEO of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, commenting on the project.

As part of its long-term corporate strategy, Qualitas Energy continues to focus on building strong partnerships. In close dialogue with wind farm owners across Germany, the company aims to leverage synergies, strengthen cooperation, and actively contribute to the transformation toward a low-carbon economy.
