Successful Wind Power Collaboration: PNE AG and Local Cooperative Banks in Cloppenburg District Receive Approval for 86.4 MW Wind Farm
Cuxhaven, Germany – A forward-looking wind energy project in Löningen (Lower Saxony) has received approval under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).
The plan includes twelve wind turbines with a total capacity of 86.4 MW, which, once operational, will be able to supply around 52,000 three-person households annually with climate-friendly electricity.
For the “Überhäsiges Viertel” wind farm, the initiators are relying on a broadly diversified ownership structure: In addition to PNE AG and local landowners, residents of Löningen will also have the opportunity to participate financially in the project.
“Getting the permit for the “Überhäsiges Viertel” wind farm is a big milestone for the project and shows how close we work with locals and other regional partners,” says Roland Stanze, COO of PNE AG. “This project once again demonstrates how important it is for us to engage in dialogue with local people on an equal footing. Only through such partnerships can sustainable projects be implemented successfully and in line with economic and social requirements,” Stanze adds.
