Nordex Scores - Renewable Energy Expansion Accelerates in Poland: Nordex Secures 118-Megawatt Order for Polish Wind Project

Hamburg (Germany) - In Poland, a large part of electricity production still comes from coal-fired power plants, but the transformation of the energy system is steadily progressing. In particular, the use of solar and wind energy is gaining importance. The Nordex Group is also benefiting from this market development.

An international independent energy producer has ordered 20 N149/5.X wind turbines from Nordex. The total capacity of the order amounts to 118 megawatts. The contract also includes a premium service agreement with a duration of up to 15 years. The names of the customer and the project have not been disclosed.

To date, the Nordex Group has installed over 600 wind turbines in Poland, corresponding to a total capacity of 1.7 gigawatts. With the new order, Nordex strengthens its position in the growing Polish wind market.

The Nordex Group is one of the leading providers of onshore wind turbines and has installed around 57 gigawatts of wind energy capacity worldwide in more than 40 markets. In 2024, the company generated group revenues of approximately €7.3 billion and employs more than 10,400 people.

In 2025, Nordex ranks among the top-performing companies in the renewable energy stock index RENIXX World. Currently, the company stands at second place with a price increase of 125.8 percent since the beginning of the year, at €25.58 (closing price on 03.12.2025, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
