Wind Deal: Qualitas Energy Acquires 91 MW Wind Portfolio From PNE And Expands its German Pipeline
Berlin (Germany) - Qualitas Energy has acquired a wind energy portfolio with a total capacity of around 91 MW from PNE AG. The package comprises six projects located in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Brandenburg, which are at various stages of development. The transaction was completed shortly before the end of the year.
With this transaction, Qualitas Energy is strengthening both its short-term realizable capacity and its medium- to long-term development pipeline. According to Qualitas Energy, once completed, the projects will be able to supply more than 60,000 households with wind power on a calculated basis.
Johannes Overbeck, Managing Director of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, described the acquisition as a consistent step within the company’s growth strategy: “With our local presence, financial strength and technical expertise, we are well positioned to deliver projects efficiently and create sustainable long-term value.”
PNE also emphasized the continuity of the cooperation. “When selecting investors, we always ensure that they not only share our high-quality standards, but also our vision of transparent communication on an equal footing with owners, citizens and authorities alike. This is the only way to achieve the local acceptance that is so important for the success of the energy transition,” said COO Roland Stanze.
PNE has been active in the market for more than 30 years. Its focus is on the development of wind energy and photovoltaic projects worldwide, as well as on power generation using its own wind farms. In addition, the PNE Group offers services covering the entire life cycle of wind farms and photovoltaic systems, battery storage solutions, and solutions for upgrading electricity through power-to-X technologies. The listed company is included in the SDAX index.
Qualitas Energy is an internationally active investor and operator in the renewable energy sector. The company is currently developing more than 100 wind farms as part of a pipeline exceeding 4,000 MW (4 GW) in advanced stages of development and continues to expand its portfolio through strategic acquisitions and targeted investments.
