Nordex Gains Momentum in Spain: Nordex Secures 80 MW Wind Farm Order With Expansion Option to 120 MW

Hamburg (Germany) - Nordex Group announced another order at the end of March. According to the company, the contract in Spain covers the supply and installation of 13 wind turbines of the N175/6.X model with a total capacity of 80 MW. In addition, a 20-year premium service agreement has been concluded.

The project also includes an expansion option: the wind farm could be extended by a further 40 MW to a total capacity of 120 MW in the future. The turbines will be installed on steel tubular towers with a hub height of 112 meters. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2027, with commissioning planned for late 2027.

Francisco Cejudo, Sales Director Spain at Nordex Group, emphasized the strategic relevance of the contract: “With this project, which once again features our new N175/6.X turbine, we are strengthening our position in Spain and supporting the expansion of renewable energy in the country.”

The names of the customer and the wind farm have not been disclosed.

Since its founding in 1985, Nordex has installed wind energy systems with a total capacity of more than 64,000 MW (64 GW) across more than 40 markets. In fiscal year 2025, the company generated revenue of around EUR 7.6 billion and currently employs more than 11,100 people worldwide.

The Nordex share is currently trading at EUR 45.86, slightly above the previous day’s closing level.
