Nordex Share Jumps to Top of RENIXX: Strong Demand for Nordex Wind Turbines in France and Belgium - Conditional Order of Around 1,000 MW in the U.S. in Focus
Hamburg (Germany) – The Nordex Group has received new orders in Europe and the United States, continuing its global expansion in the wind energy market. Following the positive order announcements, the Nordex share rose by 8.3 percent yesterday - against the general market trend - to over 28 euros, placing it at the top of the RENIXX index.
In the United States, the Nordex Group is cooperating with utility Alliant Energy to expand wind energy production in the Midwest, particularly in Iowa. Following regulatory approval, Nordex will supply up to 190 turbines from the Delta4000 series (types N133 and N163). Installation is planned for 2028 and 2029 and is expected to provide a total capacity of up to 1,060 MW. Manufacturing will take place in West Branch, Iowa, where production of nacelles, drivetrains, and hubs was recently resumed. The project is creating new jobs and fostering economic development in the region.
The agreements will take effect once the required regulatory approvals have been obtained and do not yet constitute binding orders.
“We are honored Alliant Energy has selected Nordex for this milestone, which stands as the largest volume awarded in our company’s 25-year history in the US,” said José Luis Blanco, CEO of the Nordex Group. “This affirms our strategic decision to restart production in Iowa.”
