Vestas receives 86 MW order for projects in the USA and the United Kingdom

Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS) will develop the project and will purchase all of the energy from the project for its participating members. The contract includes delivery and commissioning along with up to a six-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery is scheduled to begin in 2010 and commissioning is expected in the second half of 2011. In addition to the 57.6 MW order, turbines may be added to bring the total project size to 99 MW.

Additionally Vestas has received an order from RES for delivery of 14 units of the V80-2.0 MW wind turbine from Scotland. The Kelburn Wind Farm has a total capacity of 28 MW and the turbines will be installed in North Ayeshire. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to be completed mid-2011. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a 10-year service agreement.
